ANNUAL PICNIC - JUNE 7 - 11:30 AM TO 3 PM
BRASSTOWN COMMUNITY CENTER
SETTAWIG ROAD, BRASSTOWN.
CLUB WILL BE FURNISHING BAKED HAM. DRINKS, AND TABLE SETTINGS.
ALL BWG MEMBERS AND WIVES ARE INVITED TO ATTEND, AND BRING A COVERED DISH.
THERE WILL BE A BIG RAFFLE - ALL CONTRIBUTIONS ARE APPRECIATED.
AN EMAIL WILL BE SENT OUT TO ALL BWG MEMBERS 10 DAYS BEFORE, AS TO WHO IS PLANNING ON ATTENDING THE PICNIC.
THIS HELPS IN OUR PLANNING THE SET-UP AND FOOD.

AL HOCKENBERY FROM LAKELAND, FLORIDA, WILL BE OUR GUEST DEMONSTRATOR
Al is an experienced woodturner, through teaching & demonstrating nationally since 1996. In the
classroom he focuses not only on teaching new skills, but also on showing students how to use
what they already know more effectively. His original works have been selected for national shows.
Al serves on the AAW board of directors, is active with several AAW chapters, and was awarded Life
membership in the Chesapeake Woodturners.
BWG MEMBERSHIP - Membership fees are due Jan. 1st of each year, and each member has until the March meeting to pay up,
or be dropped from the rolls. Dues are $20 per year, for individual; $25 for family - emailed newsletter.
Please add an add’l $5 if you wish the newsletter mailed.

The Grand Opening of the new Willard Baxter Woodturning Studio at the John C. Campbell Folk School was April 21st, 2007.
